Ball/Dart Launching Head
Gulfstream Services, Inc. is proud to offer their new 6-5/8" Full Hole Ball/Dart Pumping Head. (Pat. Pend.) A smaller version with 4-1/2" IF connections is also available.
At Gulfstream's request, T.H. Hill Associates engineers performed a Mechanical and Design Review verifying the tensile and tortional yields and pressure ratings asserted.
To verify these results, Stress Engineering of Houston, TX pull tested each 6-5/8" Full Hole tool assembly to 3,000,000 lbs. An internal pressure test of 15,000 psi was performed on each tool. This gives a combined safe working load of 2,000,000 lbs and 10,000 CWP.
The Gulfstream Ball/Dart Pumping Head has the largest chamber ID available to the industry at 6-1/2", which radically improves the loading and launching of balls, darts, and other objects.

This tool can be custom assembled for any application requiring balls and/or darts to be pumped through the drill string. Suitable for top drive or rotary rig use, the number of ball and/or dart chambers assembled are restricted only by the height limitations of the rig derrick. One durable end wrench will open and close each ball/dart chamber or the chamber may be fitted with air actuators for remote operations. The chambers and top/bottom sub assembly require no make-up torque, making field servicing and reloading easy and fast.
